Effective Diets And Exercises.

December 31, 2008

When looking at a Diet and Exercise program to lose belly fat, one of the best things to start with is the diet portion of the equation. A healthy diet is one that is balanced in all of the food groups. But not simply that. A healthy diet is one that is low in fats and sugars. Those are the elements that our bodies process to give us energy, but if we are taking in too many than our bodies will hang onto them as fat. That excess belly fat is not only unappealing to the eye, but it can be purely life threatening.

The second part of the Diet and Exercise equation is equally important. To be a health individual we need to have a regular exercise program in place in our day to day routine. Most people need to be exercising for thirty minutes three to five times a week. Of course, if you can do more that is ideal, but as long as you are getting at least that much exercise then you will be taking the necessary steps to keep yourself healthy. There are all sorts of exercises out there. The key is to find something that you like to do, and that challenges your body. If you can do that then you will be sure to get your body working so that it can burn through the fuel that you are providing to it.

Why Dieters Have Problems Losing Weight.

The current high levels of obesity have made losing stomach fat a major health priority throughout North America. At the same time, statistics show that average weight loss for dieters on conventional diets amounts to a mere 5-8 pounds per year. Why is dieting so difficult? According to a new survey, there are three reasons.(1) We don’t have a sufficiently powerful incentive. (2) We let ourselves go hungry; and (3) We don’t deal effectively with “bad days”. And having ugly stomach fat do not help in the least.

The new weight loss survey asked dieters to identify the three biggest obstacles they faced when following a calorie-controlled eating plan. The most popular replies were.
-Inadequate incentive to lose weight (75 percent)
-Hunger (70 percent)
-Bad days (69 percent)

Let’s look at what causes these diet problems, and how we can overcome them.

Why Is Incentive So Important When Trying To Lose Belly Fat?

We gain unwanted belly fat either because we consume too many calories, or burn too few, or (most likely, a combination of both). So to lose a fat belly, we need to correct this calorie imbalance by changing our eating and exercise habits. But as we all know, regular habits aren’t easily changed, especially if it means cutting out our favorite food treats. The only way to do it, is to find a strong incentive to help us change.
In a nutshell, we need an answer to the question: How will I benefit from losing weight?

Most dieters can’t answer this question! Those who can, usually reply: “Because I’ll feel better” or “Because my health will improve”. Other dieters may say they are trying to reduce weight to satisfy their doctor, or partner. These general reasons are much too week to motivate us to change our regular eating and exercise routine. For instance, losing belly fat to please others rarely works. As a result, as soon as our weight loss diet runs into problems, we quit.

What Type Of Incentive Is Best To Lose Belly Fat?

In order to stay motivated to get rid of a jelly-belly, we must fix our eyes on something personal - some kind of selfish, personal benefit - for example, a beach holiday, or a family occasion, or the achievement of a specific fitness goal. Whatever benefit we choose to inspire us to lose weight, must be specific and have a fixed date.
Make up your own diet incentive. Choose anything that makes your weight loss goal really desirable!

Why Hunger Stops Us Losing A Fat Belly?

Most dieters still believe that food is their enemy. So they think the less they eat, the quicker they’ll lose belly fat. NOT TRUE! The truth is, the less we eat, the more hungry we get and the quicker our diet goes up in smoke. Don’t forget, the human body is genetically designed to eat when hungry and no amount of willpower will neutralize this basic urge - at least, not for long. That’s why low-calorie diet are usually followed by eating binges.

How To Avoid Hunger And Lose Belly Fat

Skipping meals during the day is the main cause of hunger. So make certain you eat regularly throughout the day, and eat a minimum of 1200-1300 calories fer day - more if you exercise for 45 minutes. Regular eating reassures your body that food is plentiful, so it burns calories more efficiently. In addition, it maintains steady blood sugar levels thus preventing sudden urges to overeat.

To Lose Belly Fat It’s Better To Eat Too Much Rather Than Too Little.

Each of us has days when we feel extra hungry. When this happens, EAT MORE! Might this slow down your attempt to lose stomach fat? A little, perhaps, but so what? Needing a few extra days to achieve your weight loss goal is not a problem. The real problem is not eating enough and getting hungry and depressed. Because when this happens, you’ll stop dieting and start binging.

How To Cope With Bad Days Without Quitting Your Diet

All dieters experience “bad days”. Unfortunately, most of them insist on perfection. So if they visit a friend and finish up eating 2 containers of ice cream and a box of cookies, they go to pieces. They become overwhelmed by guilt at not being perfect, and quit their diet in disgust. But eating the ice cream and cookies is pretty harmless - you need to eat a very large amount of food (3500+ calories) to gain just one pound of belly fat - the real damage is caused by the guilt that follows. So what’s the answer? DON’T TRY TO BE PERFECT! Once you stop seeing yourself as the PERFECT dieter you’ll feel entitled to make occasional mistakes, and you’ll find dieting much easier and much less stressful.

Successful Weight Loss Is Only Possible With Proper Support.

The three problems outlined above are just a few of the difficulties we face when trying to lose belly fat. To overcome them and all the other diet issues that stand in the way of our weight loss goal, we need to get help. This is much more important than choosing the perfect calorie-controlled eating plan, because no diet can motivate you to stay on track. Only other people can help you do this. Weight loss, even for people who have been obese for years, is easy when we get motivation and encouragement from others. So when you join an online weight loss program, make sure it has an active diet-support forum. Because when we have people behind us, we can do anything.

HEART ATTACK AND DRINKING WARM WATER.

For those of us who are trying to get rid of unwanted belly fat, and are willing to try almost anything, we need to also understand the process of digesting the foods we eat.

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about Heart Attacks . The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this ’sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer . It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack…
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line .
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let’s be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT THE FAT!

BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU EAT.

In my constant search for ways to lose unwanted fat, I came across an article by someone who, like me, had an eye opener about the things we consume on a daily basis.
HE WRITES:-

I like to eat! A lot! I mean that in both possible ways you could interpret it. There are few things I enjoy more than eating, but not many. And, if I am not careful,I can easily find myself eating larger quantities than necessary.

My love of food started in my youth. I grew up on a farm. As a kid I worked hard. I burned a lot of calories. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were important events every day. Oatmeal cereal with applesauce and brown sugar! Meat and potatoes! Peanut butter and jam sandwiches! Chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles! And milk! Lots of milk. Since it was my job to milk the cow I figure I should enjoy the fruit of my labor. At least a gallon of milk per day for just me was the norm. And since it was straight from the cow, it was the real thing! Not low fat milk. Not skim milk. Not whole milk. Not 1% or 2% milk. Just real whole milk like nature intended it.

I know now that a gallon of whole milk contains 2,400 calories, but that did not matter back when I was a strapping farm kid, burning over 4,000 calories per day. But now, I burn only 2,300 calories per day at my “wussy” office job and the eating habits I formed as a young man could shorten my life dramatically. Obesity contributes to heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, hypertension and cancer. It shortens our lives and raises havoc with the lifestyles and esteem of millions of people.

Obesity is heritable. That’s bad news for me since my mother was overweight and I have three aunts who all weighed over 300 pounds. (They were all under 5ft 4ins tall) They all struggled with diabetes and they all died young.

So my love of food can cause serious problems for me. I need to be forever conscious about my caloric intake. But this challenge is not unique to me. Millions of people are overweight and a large percentage of them are considered obese.

The diet industry raked in $46 billion last year in the United States alone. Unfortunately, dieting does not work! It never has. That’s why the diet industry is such a financial boom. The financial analysts know people will keep trying. They jump from one diet to the other. Their lives turn into yo-yos of weight loss, weight gain, weight loss and finally weight gain again, with each period of weight gain peaking a little higher than the previous peak. Dieting is never the solution.

Folks, this article moved me. It brought to light what we have all heard from time to time, so I had to share it with you. I would encourage everyone to take a look at the program put forward in the Truth About Six-Pack Abs, like I did, and see if you can benefit from the information there. Read the free stuff, get the ebook if necessary, and start changing your life forever.

HEART-HEALTHY FATS.

December 18, 2008

For decades, the media has reported on studies that vilified fats, especially saturated fats, for those experiencing cardiovascular disease. Red meat, for example, contains high levels of saturated fats.

SO,ARE THERE HEART-HEALTHY FATS?

Here are some examples of foods rich in healthy fats and where they’re found:

1. Saturated Fats(the oils listed are best for cooking):
Butter - Cheese - Coconut and Palm Oils(look for extra virgin, as they are healthier than refined) - Cream - Beef - Venison, Buffalo & Lamb Fat(when found within the meat and raised organically) - Eggs - Ghee(clarified butter) - Sour Cream - Chicken - Duck - Turkey Fat(when found within the meat and raised organically)

2. Monounsaturated Fats(these oils can also be used for cooking but are less preferable to saturated oils):
Avocados(they contain almost as much healthy monounsaturated oleic fats per gram as olive oil– a whopping 70 to 75 percent) - Almond Oil - Grapeseed Oil - Peanut Oil - Extra Virgin Olive Oil(best used on salads etc. and should not be heated) Keep in mind that not all olive oils are the same: Olive-Pomace Oils, from the last dregs after pressing, are highly refined, chemically treated, and not recommended.

3. Polyunsaturated Fats(cold-pressed only; not to be used for cooking purposes since heat damages the fat)
Flaxseed Oil - Chia Seed Oil - Hemp Seed Oil - Sunflower Oil - Safflower Oil - Cod Liver Oil - Herring Oil - Menhaden(fish)Oil - Salmon Oil - Sardine Oil - Sesame Seed Oil - Wheat Germ Oil.

IN ADDITION, YOUR DIET SHOULD BE RICH IN HEALTHY FATS FROM THE FOLLOWING SOURCES:

Omega-3, free-range eggs - Grass-Fed Red Meat.
Free-Range Chicken - Wild Fish - Nuts and Seeds.

Polyunsaturated fats include omega-3 fats and omega-6 fats, including these essential fatty acids(EFAs), can improve cardiovascular health and help balance insulin and inflammation levels. Wild-caught fish, free-range eggs, walnuts, and flaxseeds are excellent sources of important omega-3 fatty acids.

So, finally we see that while trying to lose unwanted fat, we must educate ourselves on the right foods to eat, and where to find it. After all, losing weight and keeping it off does not have to be an unpleasant chore. GOOD LUCK!

THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

Are you aware that the overwhelming majority of what you eat most days is poisoning you?

It’s believed that the medical profession, in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry, has a huge interest in keeping you dependent on medication rather than healing you. The worst of it is that there are those in power who are doing their best to keep this a secret. We have experienced the shocking truth of certain drugs which are being advertised directly to the consumer, pushing their use to an all-time high, are actually the cause of illness and disease climbing to near epidemic levels.

Especially targeted are those who are overweight and are constantly looking for ways to lose weight and keep it off. Losing stomach fat does not have to be unpleasant. That unwanted belly fat is not a sin. There are ways other than those put forward by the pharmaceutical industry, eg. alternative therapies, philosophies and most importantly, potential cures that help your body regain its natural state of health and vibrancy.

WALKING OFF THE FAT.

I’ve always known that walking is a wonderful exercise that can burn fat and improve your health. It is easily the most popular form of exercise for all ages. Being the only exercise in which the rate of participation does not decline in the middle or latter years. Walking burns approximately the same amount of calories per mile as does running. It should therefore be an important part of every wellness regimen.

Doing this daily will make a better you. So drag yourself out of bed while others sleep, have your daily protein, glucose and electrolytes while you strap on your shoes, then hit the street (or park if nearby). Some days for a longer time than others. Reward a long walk with a short one, but be consistent.

Do not be discouraged. The sun might try to microwave you, defy it. When it snows, feel like a warrior and brave it. Pay no mind to any minor discomfort, in fact make excuses to keep going. Remember, losing the unwanted fat is the ultimate goal and this way success is always going to be more gratifying. No Pain No Gain.

As you listen to your breathing and feel the sweat run down your body, your mind clears and you will know that your effort was not in vain…… For a more structured regimen you can check the detailed program laid out in the Truth About Six Pack Abs. Losing weight can be fun and rewarding.

Time and again we have been told of the various ways to lose belly fat. They all have one thing in common. HIGH COST! These vary from Diet Foods to Exercise Equipments, yet we see little or no success. All the while there are simple steps we all can take to lose unwanted fat without changing our way of life.

1. Drink a glass of water immediately upon arising… this starts the body’s metabolism and cleansing.
2. Eat a big breakfast… mainly consisting of things like ORGANIC fruits: pears, berries, apples, kiwis, pineapples, grapefruit, plums, peaches, prunes, figs as well as the likes of rye bread, raw butter (not pasteurized or homogenized),raw milk, plain yogurt(no sugar or fruit), wild smoked salmon, organic beef, chicken or lamb. Limited amounts of tuna, sardines, eggs, tomatoes, carrots and vegetables. Natural juices, and real tea(not tea bags).
3. Drink eight glasses of distilled water each day… this helps to flush the toxins from your fat cells.
4. Walk for at least one hour, nonstop, per day…research shows that slow, rhythmic movement exercise, such as walking, resets your body’s weight set point and creates a lean, thin body.
5. Do not eat after 6.00pm…you can eat all day, but avoid eating after 6.00 pm.
6. Do a candida cleanse... if you are overweight, most likely, you have a candida yeast overgrowth, perhaps throughout your entire body. If you wipe out the excess candida, losing weight will be easier and effortless.
7. Do a colon cleanse...cleansing the colon will dramatically increase your metabolism. In some cases as much as ten pounds can be lost by simply getting rid of the embedded toxins in your colon.
8. Eat organic grapefruit all day…remember, there is an enzyme in grapefruit that burns fat. Eat as much and as often as you desire.
9. Use infra-red sauna... this increases metabolism, dramatically reduce toxins, speed weight loss, and burns fat. Ideally done daily.
10. Absolutely no aspartame or any artificial sweeteners...these include NutraSweet, Saccharin, Splenda et al.
11. Absolutely no monosodium glutamate (MSG)… these additives increase your craving for food. They are designed to make you addicted. Sometimes the label may say spices, artificial flavoring, hydrolyzed vegetable protein etc., they are in fact MSG in disguise. Stick with organic foods as much as possible.

For those who think they cannot do this on their own and need a step-by-step guide. I have found that the program laid out in the Truth About Six Pack Abs is ideal for such a situation.
As far as Alternative Remedies for losing unwanted fat, hands down, the Top Secret Fat Loss Secrets program has been proven to have great results. This program was designed and executed by a Doctor. Success is guaranteed.
